Our company, Ancient Art Venetian Plaster, specializes in lime plaster and paint applications. We use natural lime plaster which is crafted with lime, marble aggregate and pigments, to give you the most beautiful, natural and timeless wall finishes possible. It can be sealed with wax and/or mineral sealer for water proofing and stain resistance or left open which allows the lime to purify and dehumidify the air. The rooms are beautiful and smell so fresh. This plaster is mold resistant, anti-microbial, absorbs carbon dioxide, hardens over time and emits zero VOC’s. This is the ancient way. Very durable and long lasting.
We use Vasari plaster and lime paint, vasariplaster.com. The 4 main Vasari lime products we use are: Veneziano, a lime and powdered marble plaster which has a smooth to minimal texture. It can be finished like glass. Marmorino, a lime and marble sand plaster with a smooth to medium texture and low to medium sheen. This can be used to create beautiful walls in any style of architecture. Carrera, a lime and coarse marble sand plaster with a medium to heavy texture. It has an old world look and feel with a matte to low sheen finish. Last, but not least is Lime Paint. This is lime and powdered marble paint that has a smooth to minimal texture and a matte to low sheen finish. Lime paint can also be diluted into Lime Wash which you see a lot in European or older American architecture. Lime wash can be applied over Carrera and Marmorino plasters for more stylistic finishes.
Vasari has 60 standard colors with which to design your interiors, exteriors, showers, fireplaces! Plaster Fortifier can be added to the materials for greater durability and weather resistance. Natural lime plaster is also commonly used in wine cellars for its beauty, mold resistance and ability to absorb excess humidity. Vasari finishes are incomparable to any other option. We offer stencils and natural stone & tile borders to accent your project as well as painted and/or stone & tile wall mosaics.
